Euxton Villa enjoyed a return to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Daisy Hill in the league. 

Joel Darley’s second half screamer was all that separated the two; securing a vital three points to aid Villa’s league run. 

As seen the week before in their defeat to Steeton, Villa did start slower than their usual style. 

Villa were persistent in their attack though, and were unfortunate not to take the lead in the 27th minute- Daisy Hill defence clearing a shot off the line. 

A quiet end to the second half provided the need for a big second half, and a motivated Villa came put for the second 45. 

Oil Lombard as always provided some incredible saves to keep out the opposition, and it would be Villa who eventually got the breakthrough in the 77th minute. 

Jack Wyers-Roebuck’s long ball fell to Joel Darley, who was able to take the ball past two and control it straight into the back of the net. 

Jubilation for home fans and a fantastic team celebration too to highlight the importance of that goal. 

Villa were able to play out the game comfortably, securing the win despite making it difficult for ourselves. 

Man of the match deservedly went to Joel Darley for his excellent winner.
