Euxton Villa secured another three points in their league campaign with a 5-0 win against Garstang FC.

Goals from Dan Singleton, Joel Darley, Ethan Danku and a brace from Jordan Bentham secured a comfortable victory and clean sheet on home turf.

It took just one minute for Villa to take the lead; A long ball coming into the box before Singleton nipped in to tap home. 

Despite the lead, it was an even playing field, Garstang creating chances too to find a way back into the game. 

A fantastic save from Oli Lombard denied this, and both teams would enter the break with a goal between the two. 

The second half and Villa upped the momentum; taking just two minutes to double their lead. 

A superb shot from Jordan Bentham on the edge of the box fired straight into the back of the net. 

And it wouldn’t stop there, Darley’s curling effort on the edge of the box falling perfectly into the net; his 12th goal of the season. 

Villa’s chances increased as time ticked on, and with no notable chances from Garstang the game had taken a turn and Villa were in control. 

We would get our fourth from Bentham in the 69th minute, a tapped in rebound extending the lead after a fantastic build up from Leo Mackintosh saw his initial shot saved. 

With 20 minutes left, Bentham and Pat Bibby would create chances, but nothing concrete would come until Ethan Danku came on. 

A sublime bit of play from him would see him take the ball down the right and then come in the box, beating defence and making the shot. 

The ‘keeper got a touch on the ball with his feet, but the ball would scrape past him and go into the back of the net. 

An unbelievable final goal to seal an all important three points, and a fantastic win on familiar ground. 

The win takes us up to fourth in league standings; with the aim to consolidate a play off position as each game goes by. 

We now look ahead to next Saturday 7th, where we travel to West Yorkshire and face Route One Rovers.
